Whole Apple Crumbles

Classic Apple Crumble with a twist!
Green apples halved, baked and topped with golden crumble.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

4 Green Apples, halved

Crumble
¼ cup Almond Meal
¼ cup Shredded Coconut
¼ cup Rolled Oats
¼ tsp Cinnamon
Pinch Nutmeg
Pinch Salt
1 tbsp Grass Fed Butter or Coconut Oil, melted
1 tbsp Maple Syrup
1 tbsp Almond Butter

To Serve
Maple Syrup
Ice Cream, Yoghurt, Whipped Cream

 
 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Carefully cut around the core of the apple halves and scoop out the pip with a spoon. Using a fork pierce the skin side of the apples in a few places.

  3. Place apples skin down on a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile combine all crumble ingredients in a bowl.

  5. Top apples with crumble mixture and bake for a further 5 minutes or until crumble is golden and apples have softened to your desired texture. 

  6. Serve apples topped with maple syrup and ice cream, yoghurt or whipped cream.
