Raspberry Chia Jam

 

Guilt Free Jam! How?

This is such a great alternative to store bought jams, which are usually packed with preservatives, flavours and highly refined sugar.

This raspberry chia jam offers enough sweetness to satisfy our sweet tooth, yet also leaves you feeling good, no more crashes after a high spike in your blood glucose levels.

It’s also packed with nutritious chia seeds. These babies provide a stack of fibre, protein and omega 3’s to support our bodies.

Servings: 370g Jar - Servings 18 (20g) 

Ingredients

2 cups Raspberries, fresh or frozen.
4 tbsp Chia Seeds
2 tbsp Rice Malt Syrup
4 tbsp Water 


Method

1.     Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan on medium heat. 

2.     Once raspberries have softened and started to break down, reduce heat. 

3.     Simmer for 5-10 minutes, until mixture has slightly thickened and chia seeds have softened. 

4.     Pour into a jar and allow to cool. 

Hints

Enjoy your chia jam on top of toast, or be creative and top it to any food where you are seeking a subtle sweetness. I’m thinking nice cream…. Yummy.
