I Heart Meat Pizza

Servings: 2

Ingredients

½ Onion, sliced
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
200g Grass-Fed Beef Mince
200g Free-Range Chicken Breast
Salt & Pepper, to taste
2 x Pitta Wraps, cut into heart shapes (or 4 small wraps, use the leftover to toast into tortilla chips)
3 tbsp Tomato Paste
¼ Capsicum, finely diced
3 Button Mushrooms, sliced
1 cup Mozzarella, grated
Garlic Powder, sprinkled
Barbeque Sauce, drizzled (homemade recipe below)
Fresh Basil Leaves, optional garnish

Homemade BBQ Sauce (refrigerate leftovers)
½ tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Garlic Clove, minced
½ cup Water
1/3 cup Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Coconut/Rapadura Sugar
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Cacao Powder
Salt & pepper, to taste

 
 

Method

1.     Blitz all homemade barbeque sauce ingredients in a blender until combined and set aside.

2.     Preheat oven to 180 degrees fan forced.

3.     Heat two frying pans and drizzle with olive oil. Add onion to one pan and garlic to another and cook until softened. Add chicken to the garlic pan and mince to the onion pan, cook until both meats are just lightly browned (do not overcook as they are about to be baked).

4.     Spread tomato paste over wraps.

5.     Place meats and remaining toppings over pizza however you desire. Drizzle barbeque sauce.

6.     Bake for 8-10 minutes or until base is crispy.

7.     Serve topped with fresh basil leaves.
