Classic Acai Bowl

Pronounced [Ah, sigh, EE]
So acai bowls always look gorgeous and are so much fun to decorate.
BUT they are so much more than that!
Acai berries originate from South America and are full of amazing properties.
I’m talking…

  • Antioxidants – help fight free radicals in the body and thus reduce toxins throughout, which reduces inflammation.

  • High Fibre – will aid digestion.

  • Essential Fatty Acids – hello glowing skin.

Acai berries can be bought in many different forms:
dried, frozen, juice, powder and tablets.

I encourage you to play around with decorating your own açai bowls and use lots of different nutritious toppings.

Acai Bowl

Servings: 1

Ingredients

100g Acai (I use a frozen Sambazon pack)
1 Frozen Banana
¼ cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk

Favourite toppings (I used chia seeds, coconut flakes
& toasted buckwheat).

Method

1.     Add ingredients to blender in order as listed.

2.     Blend to desired consistency, ensure not to over blend.
A spatula may be needed whilst blending due to the thick consistency.

3.     Top with your favourite toppings.
